MET OPERA: LIVE IN HD SERIES 2009-2010
“The Metropolitan Opera’s experiment of merging film with LIVE performance has created a new art form,” said the Los Angeles Times of the groundbreaking series of live, high-definition performance transmissions to movie theaters around the world. To meet increasing global demand, The Met: Live in HD expands in its 4th season to present nine transmissions in 2009-10. Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre and Iowa Public Radio continue the tradition of partnership with the Metropolitan Opera in the promotion of The Met: Live in HD broadcasts. Don’t miss the chance to experience the Met LIVE at one of the following participating movie theatres:

Cedar Falls: College Square 12 (1065 College Square Mall)
Dubuque: Star Cinema 14 (2835 NW Arterial)
Iowa City: Sycamore 12 (1602 Sycamore Street)
West Des Moines: Jordan Creek 20 (101 Jordan Creek Parkway)

Iowa Public Radio is offering a limited number of discounted ticket vouchers for each opera in the HD series to IPR classical listeners for $15 each.  To purchase discounted vouchers, call: 800-861-8000.
